Brunswick’s first bar and the first Australian venue to be licenced by a woman, The Retreat Hotel is one of the last remaining to keep its original charm and grit. To speak to the authenticity of the venue and the kitchen, the whole menu was created by hand using masking tape, a sharpie and cardboard - a direct link to the way the chef organises their kitchen.
